DONE, DONE, AND DONE.
Last night I turned in my final essay for Literatura hispanoamericana. Now I can say I'm officially done with my junior year of college. After all of the stress and everything else, things are finally getting better. I'm getting along better with Maru (I can't say the same for Nikki though...), she's being super nice all of a sudden, I'm going to ROMA in 3 days, and at the end of the month, I'm going to AFRICA! Plus, I finally have time to write and finish my blogs little by little. It may seem like it's all been school and stuff, but I actually took a bunch of day trips and stuff in between. They were too much work at the time to write about and add pictures, so I'm gonna do that. They won't be in chronological order...but you don't mind, right? Well I guess it doesn't matter what you think because I'm controlling the blogs...
ALSO, I think Nikki and I may actually have housing next year! After all the difficulties and stress, we found an apartment with a June lease. It's privately owned by a really nice guy, it's quiet, close to campus, and I get a free covered parking spot. WHAT. Special shout out to Bobbie, who went to 2 different places and took pictures of apartments and emailed them to me. That helped SO much. Also to Lissah and Nathan who were willing to take time out of their schedules to help me. Finally, I am so thankful for my AWESOME INCREDIBLE AMAZING parents who probably called 20 different rentalsearched and sent 10 different links to me, and took a day off of work to go all the way to Isla Vista to look at apartments for me. I know that it has been stressful since I'm not in California, but they've worked with me. Without them, I'd be homeless right now. companies/apartments,
Slowly, the stress is dissipating. Hopefully this can be a relaxing month before summer school starts.
Prayer requests?
- That we would get the apartment - we still have to apply and get it
- That Christie and I will be able to get subleasers for Session A and Session B for our apartment on Picasso (still with a September lease)
¡ Gracias!
